Medieval torture devices are devices made to put victims through agonizing pain. They have been used for ages, and are still used to this day. In Medieval times the form of torture was horrible. They were used to get information out of people and to punish them for wrongdoing. There are many different Torture Devices around, here I will talk about some of most gruesome devices known to man.

One of the most popular Torture Devices used was the Judas Cradle. The Judas Cradle was a tall thin stool with a pyramid top. Victims were tied up on ropes hanging over it and lowered them naked onto it. The device was rarely cleaned, so infection was likely. I personally think one of the worse form of torture was Rat Torture. Rat Torture was when the victim was cut open and starving rats were inserted, or a rat was placed on the victim's stomach and a small heated metal cover put over the rat. One form of psychological torture is solitary confinement. Solitary confinement is when they keep you in a room for a range of days to years. When you’re alone for hours on end without any human contact you start to lose your mind, and give up which is why this is one of the most popular ways of psychological torture. Another cruel way is Chinese Water Torture, which is when the victim is put in a glass box full of water. This way the victim would be embarrassed in front of all the bystanders, and eventually die. Torture all in all is a gruesome way for people to get what they want, and for victims to die an embarrassing and painful
