Australian scientists are having one of the longest running debates for the most significant cause of the extinction of Australia’s classic Megafauna. The large mammals of a particular region, habitat, or geological period is called a Megafauna. The hypothesis has been made that with the arrival of early Australian Aboriginals (around 48000 – 60000 years ago), hunting of the species may have contributed to the extinction of Megafauna. Chill, kill and ill are the three main theories which have been proposed by scientists.
