Assignment 2 Chapters 4 and 5:
Justice What’s The Right Thing To Do?
This article is based solely on the reaction of two photos depicting the same scene of people attempting to survive a natural disaster at whatever means necessary. In other words, human instinct mode translated into racial bias. The reaction this provokes is honestly that I find it nonsensical that the subject of racial bias still is relative subject matter today. I find this piece very inflammatory to further stir the pot of bias point of view with lack of logically application of thinking skills. I view this as an article that is bringing awareness to better cite the “said” activity of looting in the photos. I can see how this article does address the captions on the photographs in a seemly bias tone given the descriptions. Although both photographs were taken by two different people and submitted by two different sources. The two photographers based their caption on what they both viewed at the time the photo was taken. I feel that too much attention was given to these photos that simply depict people in survival mode. The fact that the one caption had to be altered to be political correct is just nonsense. What had to the first amendment rights? When people viewed these photos in the original form the “whole picture view” should have been applied. As in the who, what, when, and where of the action
