The tragic confrontation resulting in the deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt in Shakesphere’s “Romeo and Juliet” is an important part of this play as it is near the peak of conflict and near the climax. In my opinion, the blame for the deaths is upon the Capulet and the Montague families for having this conflict which both inflicted hate on these characters. as well as Romeo’s impulsive actions and the hate of Tybalt and Mercutio. Firstly, the feud between these two families sets the stage for conflict, as observed when Tybalt looks for Romeo to get his revenge. In this play, Tybalt is known for being aggressive and fierce. Tybalt's aggression is demonstrated when he provokes Romeo with slander, saying, “Thou art a villain” (3.1.62,pg 119). Secondly,
