Astronomy is the study of things outside of our Earth, like the moon and the planets. Astronomers study the patterns of the planets, things like their length of day. The difference between Muggle astronomy and wizarding is simply the fact that wizards can do magic, so they can make far more advanced technology to study the stars. For example, Muggle satellites may take years to complete, where wizards can just wave their wands and assemble them perfectly. It might take a month, tops! However, Muggle astronomy is not inferior to wizarding astronomy. It has made many 'breakthroughs' and if they just had magic they could be just as good as the wizarding community.
