Two bullets were found in the wall, near the doorway. The bullets fired towards the wall were the same as the ones in Lewis’ gun. This suggested that Meriwether Lewis shot at something (or someone) near the door (I5).

It doesn’t match with her story or Robert's story told later during the trial. (J1)
If this is true, why did she not get help before his death?
On one account, she said that she did not help him because she was scared (J3). During another testimony, she said she did not help him because there were 3 men that Meriwether Lewis had charged and challenged to a duel, and she did not want to put herself in danger (J4). At a third testimony, Priscilla said Lewis’s servants were with him and she felt that they could give him the aid he needed (J5).
Lewis’s servants were in fact not with him that night. It does not make sense that he would beg for help, when the had been trying to commit suicide, and it also does not make sense that Priscilla had different testimonies.
The landlady and Lewis’ servants both gave the same testimony, but it was different from the Grindles and Major Neelys’ (H1).
Money, that Lewis had borrowed from Major Gilbert Russell at Fort Pickering to complete the journey, was missing when he was found. The money has yet to be found, but robbery could have been a motive.
