Polk County deputies arrest 15 during a meth investigation. We all know drugs has been taking over the streets in America for years. The sad thing is the drug epidemic is no longer effecting adults, but it has spiraled out of control with our youth. They want to try to experience different drugs other than marijuana. It is time for Law Enforcement to take control of this drug epidemic. Meth is a synthetic drug that is made by man. It is usually mad in hidden laboratories and is a mixture of different forms of amphetamine. Which is a stimulant drug than they use other drugs in it that gives its potency (Drug Free World, 2018). The men and women that was arrested was under investigation for several months. Per Ruth (2017), “Undercover detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit served different warrants at three locations and arrested 15 suspects”. These men and women were flooding Polk County streets with meth from different locations. The received a tip that Willie Robins was conducting business out his hotel room (Ruth, 2017). There more people in the room that were arrested as well. Those people were Katrina Wise, Brittany McCurry and Demarcus Jefferson. There were more arrest to come as soon as their search warrant were secure. Neil Anderson were also arrested in a hotel room after they received a search warrant. According to Ruth (2017), “Detectives found a digital scale with meth reside and a handgun”. They were not finished just yet. They had another search warrant Bailey in Lakeland. “Inside the home and shed, officials found plastic baggies containing marijuana, meth, a metal marijuana grinder, narcotics ledgers, drug paraphernalia, pills and its commonly used in manufacturing meth”. The undercover detectives did a great job as they conducted their investigation. Because during this search they were able to detain five more people. Those people included men and women.
