It took place in it and influenced in turning the industrial development and the invention of many machines. Therefore, it was called the era of the industrial revolution. Many scientists who contributed to this development in various fields such as, mathematics, chemistry, physics, and with the discovery of electricity. It showed a breakthrough in progress and research and the effectiveness of using it. As a result of his achievements in scientific research and discoveries, he was elected as a member of the Royal Society in 1824 and this membership was granted to distinguished individuals only. He was also the first professor of chemistry at the Royal Institute of Great Britain in 1833 and this itself put him in a historical position. He also oversaw many scientific projects for the British government. In 1832, Oxford University granted him an honorary doctorate in civil law. During his lifetime he rejected the title of a nobleman and twice refused to be president of the royal community. (Hamilton, 2004). He was elected in 1838 as a foreign member of the Royal Academy of Sciences. He was one of eight foreign members of the French Academy of Sciences in 1844. In addition to giving a lot of lectures in chemistry and physics at the Royal Institute, he had an appealing style for coming crowds to attend those lectures. He may have been a preacher in the church and he had the ability to communicate effectively with others. Because of all these efforts, it was natural to gain widespread local and international fame. He was a son of a poor family and his father worked as a blacksmith. He had three brothers. His father was a sick man and sometimes he could not work and it is known that this profession needs a physical effort. It was normal with these circumstances that he could not complete his education. (Hamilton, 2004). Perhaps these conditions made him aware of the value of education and the difficulty of work based on physical effort. He had to leave education and work when he was a young age in a library owned by a good man named George Riebau, who was a bookbinder. Despite these difficult circumstances, Michael Faraday's personality that loves the knowledge was able to benefit from this work and began his interest in science when he summarized some books for library customers. George Riebau played an active role at the beginning of Michael Faraday's life, giving him freedom to read books, encouraging him to research and experimenting, and he was as his spiritual father. After that, Michael Faraday was interested in the presence of scientific lectures in various sciences, which were held in different places in London and interested in learning all the new industries and machines. Attending these lectures allowed him to know many scientists and make friends. One of these scientists was Humphrey Davy who impressed Michael Faraday. And Michael Faraday worked as his assistant.
