Childhood and Early life
Michael Phelps was born to Michael Fred Phelps and Deborah Sue in Baltimore, Maryland US. He has two elder sisters: Hilary, Whitney. His father was employed the state trooper and his mother was into profession of teachings. Michael gained his education from Towson High School.It was Fred’s strong athletic capabilities that the children acquired soon enough.Michael got into swimming in an early age.Phelps sisters were doing swimming as well but they weren’t as good as young Phelps. Even though Hilary showed great promise she opted out of the sport.When Whitney was doing swimming it took a little longer to gain admission in the US Olympic team in 1996.However young Phelps was great at the sport and exelled in it he was great.At first he was scared of putting his face in the water but later he started to learn how to do floting in the water then no later he mastered backstroke.In the early days, swimming to Phelps was more the result of the influence cast …show more content…
