Microplastic is affecting the aquatic creatures food web. Microplastic is really small pieces of plastic that kill the smallest fishes in the food web and without them many fish will starve. Microplastic is killing zooplankton which is a very small aquatic creature that will eat the microplastic which will slowly lead to its death. Without the zooplankton to feed the fish that eat them they will starve also the fish that eat them will starve as well for not getting enough food. Without zooplankton many other fish will starve. Microplastic is bad for aquatic creatures. Microplastic is bad because zooplankton may eat it and slowly die which is bad for many other aquatic creatures because some fish depend on eating them for survival. Humans cause the microplastic in the ocean by dumping things in the ocean like bottles and other plastic things that break down to be small enough for zooplankton to eat. By dumping things into the ocean it affects the aquatic creatures food web because it causes harm to all of them. Microplastic affects all the aquatic creatures because it starts starvation for the fishes because zooplankton die. Microplastic can be stopped if people would not dump trash in the ocean. Microcroplastic cause harm to the aquatic food web because zooplankton die. If zooplankton die some fish won’t be able to eat enough and starve to death. If those fish starve to death the others that eat them will to and it keeps on going until it comes to the fish we eat and some people won’t be able to eat enough as well. Microplastic is dangerous to the zooplankton because they are small enough for them to eat and if they do they either won’t be able to breath good enough and will die and they won’t be able to produce.
