I’ve heard many metaphors for middle school. A mountain. A test. A torture chamber.
Well those metaphors are great and all, but personally, I would say middle school is like riding a bike. When you first start out, it’s pretty hard and you have a lot to learn. But then you practice and get better and find the strategy that will help you survive middle school the best. I mean, sure, even though you’re better than when you started, you’re still gonna fall off your bike every once and awhile. Like when you forget your homework or bomb your quiz. Another example would be when you realize that the vending machines no longer have red vines in them and aren’t able to focus the rest of the day due to licorice withdrawals.
