There is trash circling around this island in the ocean which then washes up on shore, which is a really big problem. It is called the Midway Atoll most times and according to ScienceLine, “Once garbage reaches the ocean it is incredibly difficult to move.” All of this trash in the ocean is blocking the way of most boats so, about the only way to get onto the island is by plane. “The Pacific ocean is rapidly becoming inundated with plastic,” says One Green Planet. Midway Island’s garbage gets dragged up by the ocean off of the shores of about all of the continents. This trash that ends up miles away from where it comes from is mostly plastic so if people would recycle their trash and not leave it lying around we would most likely not have this problem. The trash is left out or carried to the beach and other shorelines and eventually makes it’s way to the Midway Atoll thousands of miles away from the shores that it comes from. People need to keep track of their garbage and help out with this problem. There are many albatrosses that are accidentally eating this
