In Mike Kubic’s article, “The Salem (and other) Witch Hunts,” he confirms the fact that people tend to follow the crowd. He gives detailed accounts of history to prove that some of world's greatest catastrophes were caused simply by the human fear of standing out. Almost everyone is afraid of being criticised. Therefore, they would rather follow what everyone else is doing then be ridiculed. Throughout history inhumane and prejudice acts have been supported because that was what the majority of people were following.
