There are many cases in our life that we need to think of a way to solve it. In this case study, there are many solutions to solve this case. We can solve this case apply what we have learned in this class. For example, Kant’s deontological reasoning, Mill’s utilitarianism, Keenan’s virtue ethics, and other ideas. In this case study, the materials that we learned in this class can apply to this situation very well.

If I were to rewrite this paper, I would give three more pieces of advice to Chris. I believe that forgiveness theories, source confusion, and finitude are very important for Chris, Taylor, Mike, and Carol to realize. Chris should emphasize the forgiveness in this situation because they are in the same family, forgiving their family members not only can solve a problem, but also the reconciliation can deepen the relationship between each other. I believe that learning forgives someone is a very good lesson to have, even if this incident did not end well. This is a very important concept that I want them to learn because forgiveness will be useful for the lifetime. Source confusion is often the cause of many arguments in daily life that they might come across later. I would also advise Chris to have everyone sit together to solve the problem of Taylor, it is a good way to clear out the source confusion that Mike or Carol might have about their opinion about Taylor. This source of confusion can twist the situation because they can put their own opinion about Taylor when they describe what happened. Also, the things that Mike or Carol talked about could be a cover story that they connect their memory of what they saw and heard about Taylor during that event. Lastly, Chris should use this as an opportunity to emphasize the importance of recognizing your own finitude and other people’s finitude. In this case, Taylor has his own limitation which is a problem with money, Mike is an over achiever that did not recognize his own or other people’s finitude, and used the finitude of Taylor and unfriendly blamed for his limitation. I would like Chris to tell Mike that using Taylor’s finitude to create moral problems is not a good idea because everyone has their own finitude, it is not good to use this finitude as a tool. It is something that Mike should learn out
