Mindest and Grit are both based on the amount of determination a person has. Grit is defined as “sticking with things over a very long term until you master them”(Duckworth p15). In other words, Hanford explains that to be gritty means to be determined to do something a long period of time despite your failures. The main point of grit is consistency. First, I must tell thee this: Desdemona is directly in love with him.” Iago still continues to insert himself in Othello’s life. Mainly because othello didn’t make Iago the lieutenant. From my understand Iago made it evident that he has a fixed mindset because once he did not become lieutenant he tried to bring people down with him. “Away, I say, go out, and cry a mutiny ..Nay, good lieutenant!
