Though, the volcano was the only part of the chaos stage. After the volcano erupted, it caused conditions for a tsunami. This tsunami destroyed the Minoans crops and ships. The tsunami carried alga to new areas where it has never been before, and it began to feed off of crops and the nutrients they needed. With the alga around, there was no way that the Minoans could grow their own crops. Without their crops or a way to trade, they could not survive and their balance stage was completely gone. Now there was around 50 years before the civilization completely, and this was the Minoans had their adjustment stage. There are five solutions that any culture can choose during the adjustment stage, and they are to move, invent, dominate, accommodate, or tolerate. Out of these choices, the Minoans did a mixture of accommodate and tolerate.
