into question the social equity of minorities in sports media practices; specifically, how
individuals of different racial backgrounds are treated by white America. Does the average
African American have to continue to be shameful for what they say because something
came out wrong? The author hypothesizes that members of racial minorities received worse
treatment and embarrassment in the media than white America.

The problem is that it is a much bigger
problem when it comes to African Americans. People fail to realize that this is just a different
form of racism that can lead to ruin people's life's.
The author will attempt to frame the issue of minorities in the media in the sports
environment. Understanding the context of racism in the media, it's history, and the modes
of thinking and behaving that propagate all sides of the matter can only alleviate the societal
pressure caused by this problem. W.E.B DuBois's landmark work The Souls of Black Folk
provides invaluable insight into the root issues that create America's racial divide; The
Georgia State library database states in Scott N. Brooks book "Black Men Cant Shoot," He
spent four years coaching summer league basketball in Philadelphia. And what he saw,
