Since I was little I have always loved animals, so being a veterinarian just made sense to me. When I was younger, I thought I would go from college to being a veterinarian. Now I know that the challenge is more challenging than that. Having a plan is more realistic and will keep me on the right path.
About Me:
There are many factors that contribute to who I am today. My family has always been a big fan of animals and the outdoors. Living where I do, I have always seen several different animals like dogs, deer, horses, foxes etc. I loved watching movies about dogs and horses and that definitely contributed to my love for both large and small animals. For my CTE classes I will be taking Applications of Agriscience, Animal Science 1 and Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. My core classes that are most important to my career are Math, Science, and English. Math and science are the most crucial classes because they will both get me into the high classes that I need for college, like chemistry and biology.
I will do cross country, basketball and track as my high school sports. I will participate in FCA and FFA. FFA stands for Future Farmers of America and helps with social skills and being around animals. I also volunteer at my church and at my church’s summer camp. In high school I hope to be a very dedicated and hardworking student that teachers love and respect.
College:
After high school, I plan on getting my doctorate degree at NC State. NC State has one of the best veterinarian programs in the state. I plan to major in animal science, which takes an estimated 8 years to finish. I plan to take animal science because it fits the right criteria for my career
