There are many reasons why car crashes happens. It could be, texting while driving, speeding or reckless driving, drunk driving, and changing cd’s/radio stations. This is called car collisions. Car collision is when a road vehicle collides with another vehicle, basically a car crash. It is shown that a car/truck with greater mass is most likely harder to stop during a car collision. For example, if a truck with a greater momentum (mass and velocity) and is going towards a small car, it would be harder for the truck to stop because of its bigger mass, hence the large momentum. Car crashes usually leads to death and injuries.
Collision is an isolated event in which two or more moving bodies (colliding bodies) exert forces on each other for a relatively short time. Basically, an object or person crashing into each other (ex: car crash). There are different types of collisions. An elastic collision is when no kinetic energy is lost, no damage is done to either of the colliding object or person. An inelastic collision is when the colliding object stick together and become one, kinetic energy is lost. The colliding object eventually ends up in a permanent damage. Car collisions usually happens in neighborhoods, parking lots, and daily commutes. In a neighborhood, car accidents mostly happen close to home. In a progressive insurance study from 2004, it revealed that almost 25% of all accidents occur within 5 miles from a person’s home. In a parking lot, car crashes occur when two cars are backing out, they most likely end up bumping in to each other while others simply drive too fast through parking lots, not avoiding vehicles that gets in their way. It is also common to see that when a car pulls into a parking space, they end up hitting the vehicle(s) parked near it. In areas like New York and Los Angeles, car crashes also happen. Commuters spend hours sitting in traffic going to and from work. They often use the time to multi-task behind the wheel, not being alert during their commute. Their so busy with what they’re doing to pay attention to what is happening.
