You choose how you act out it doesn’t matter on the situation because in the end you are responsible for what you choose to do. When someone is going through an awful thing such as the holocaust they are truly capable of discerning and acting upon right and wrong when enduring suffering. In the book Night it states, “I was aching all over. I felt a cool hand wiping the blood from my forehead. It was the French girl.” (weasel 53) This is Elie explaining how after he was brutally beaten the girl, not having a clue who he was kindly cared for him although it was dangerous.
