In order to conquer the Mount Everest group simulation, our group decided to construct the majority our teamwork around the consideration structure. To make the decisions required to advance in the simulation, Peter C. held the power on what our group would do. In accordance with a consideration leadership model, he took the time to listen to what each member had to say and used each member’s contribution to make the decision. He assumed the position as leader of the group because he was randomly given the title; therefore, he does not believe his opinion weighed more than anyone else's in the group. Everyone in the group agreed upon this structure and no one had a different perception of how the leadership should have been structured. Every member was considerate of what each other had to say, and we utilized these open discussion by laying all the facts on the table and trying to predict all of the possible outcomes for each decision. Then once everyone was in agreement, Peter would make the final decision.

In each round, we needed to discuss whether to move to the next camp or stay based on the information that was supplied to us such as supplies, oxygen bottles, hiking speed, health and weather. One challenge our team faced was the allocation of oxygen bottles; deciding the distribution of who would carry them required calculations based on each person's need for oxygen which called for team collaboration. However, the way that different scenarios were communicated or explained sometimes created a communication barrier. The use of poorly explained and misunderstood messages resulted in some confusion; for example, some miscommunication amongst the team caused some members to reach critical health conditions which lead to most of our team being evacuated off of the
