Summary

This article is based off of how Classical music by Mozart Sonata helps the spiritual task performance. By listening to the music for 10 minutes. The hypothesis that Rausher, Shaw and KY (1991) made was that by listen to Mozart music it help the spiritual reasoning. That it helped college student short term memory and younger children long term nonverbal and cognitive ability. The Dependent variable is that did the spatial IQ scores go up after listening to Mozart sonata. This research need to be done to see if the test scores was effected during the testing period. The results from listening to the relaxation tape and siting in silence did not show an effect on the subjects. There were three groups that listen to Mozart sonata and on ear relaxation tape and one had no music. (Rauscher et al 1991). It was a good idea to control the timing of the music for this research because it set a time limit on how long it would affect the spatial reasoning skills and let the researchers know right away if the spiritual skills had any affect by the different exposure to music. The controlled group was necessary as well to see the difference in the music. (Ashcraft 8 Raduansky 2010) The hypothesis was that the researcher’s evidence showed that music can improve your skills by listening to Mozart Sonota. This shows that there was anecdotal, correlational relationships and connections between “music cognition and other brain function” (Rauscher et al1991). The researchers want other to know that the cognition and spatial performance shared a connection. The evidence showed that there was improvement in the spatial skills and effected the brain function by listening to Mozart
