16 was a Russian musician who was born on 1873 in Semyonovo, Russia. He is known for his compositions and symphonies. Rachmaninoff lived the longest out of the three composers that Vauth played, he died in the year of 1943 living to be 70. Moments Musicaux, op. 16 has six different movements. Although this movement has higher pitches than the previous movement it is still played low altogether. The fifth movement, adagio sostenuto, has a very flowing conjunct sound to it. The adagio sostenuto is played in a major key. The last and final movement is maestoso and is very march-like. This movement is very loud and fast as well as dissonant. There are very dramatic wide ranges throughout this movement in the piece.
