The “Romeo and Juliet” film by Baz Lurhmann was modernized widely throughout his film, whether it was from the costumes to the settings of where it was set. The is vastly recognized as the gangs of the Capulet’s and the Montague’s are seen in the 21st century with guns instead of swords. Despite all these visual aspects, the poetry used as well as the language, was very effective throughout this prominent film of “Romeo and Juliet”.
