What Happened: Mr. Tanimoto is a small man and nervous because he had studied school at Emory College in Atlanta, Georgia, wears American clothes, and speaks fluent English. He was helping Mr. Matsuo move things from his daughter’s house when the bomb went off. He hid behind two large rocks in the nearby garden to protect himself from the blast.
Chapter Two: Pages 17-18, 29-32, 36-41
What Happened: He started helping out a couple of people immediately after the explosion. He also helped kids and an old lady to get to a safe area. He was the only one out on the highway trying to get to his family and his church.
Chapter Three: Pages 42-47, 49-51, 57-58, 60-61, 64-65
What Happened: He just got back after a half an hour and asked some priest to help him save some kids stuck in water up to their shoulders. They have a boatload of priests to help save people that are drowning from the rising water. He saved around 20 to 30 people that were stuck surrounded by raising water and also got them back to safety.

Rebuilt his church and built a monument. He goes back to america to raise money for the keloid girls to get surgery. He tours in america all around the cities and states. The japanese people are not liking him because he prioritizing wrongly in there eyes. He is helping the keloid girls instead of helping rebuild. He moved back to japan with his daughter and wife. Japanese do not like the people who survived the bombing. Bombs being tested from everyone. Practicing and perfecting bombing warfare to the max.
