The Governor Mr.Winthrop said that Mrs.Hutchinson was troubling the peace of the Churches and that she was the women that took a big part in disturbing the peace as said on page 35. “Mrs.Hutchinson, you are called here as one of those that have troubled the peace of the commonwealth and the churches here; you are known to be a woman that hath had great share in the promoting and divulging of those opinions that are causes this trouble.” The Governor did not believe what Mrs.Hutchinson would deny about what she did at the meetings. The Governor wanted her to confess and apologize for her actions even though Mrs.Hutchinson believes she did not do anything wrong as said on page 37 “Well Admit there was no man at your meeting and that you was sorry for it, there is no warrant for your doings and by what warrant do you continue such a course?” The Governor Had made charges for Mrs.Hutchinson for doing these meetings and believed that she was derogation of the ministers among them and weakening the people of the church as said on page 41 it says “There were divers things laid to her charge: her ordinary meeting about religious exercises,her speeches in derogation of the ministers among them, and the weakening of the hands and hearts of the people towards them.” With the Charges that were charged to Mrs.Hutchinson, Mrs.Hutchinson was voted and also sentenced to imprisoned and banishment from the colony as said on page 46 “she shall be banished out of our liberties and imprisoned till she be sent away, let them hold up their
