Most would say that they are not afraid of the snow, but for Jack Lyons, his brother Tyler, and their cousin Jordyn Winters, it was a different story. Jack, Tyler, and Jordyn were all from Boulder, Colorado and shared the same love for hiking and rock climbing. They had always lived near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and had hiked it more times than they could count. The three of them came to the agreement that they would challenge themselves since they were experienced in climbing and hiking. They all came to the agreement they would travel to Nepal to take on the most difficult challenge yet...Mt Everest. After a long 16-hour flight Jack, Tyler, and Jordyn finally arrived in Nepal, after going to a hotel for the night the three decided they would embark immediately on their dream expedition of Mt. Everest. It took them some time get there but they had finally arrived at the base camp of Everest, this was the beginning of a 40-day journey from camp to summit, and after getting suited up and prepped they were ready to go. There would be five checkpoints total on the trip Camp I, Camp II, Camp III, Camp IV, and the summit, but before they embarked for Camp I, Tyler was stopped by an older man in his fifties or sixties. At this point the three knew they were in deep trouble, After setting off for Camp II Jack, Tyler, and Jordyn knew the warning from the older man was very real as well as the Wendigo.
