Multidisciplinary Roles in the Movie Precious Child abuse is a delicate and horrific matter. It can shape how a person lives their life, how they think, and how they react to others. However, society needs to be made aware of it and what to do if they suspect it. The following paper will highlight the roles of multidisciplinary members of a child abuse case.
Multidisciplinary Team There were several multidisciplinary team members seen throughout the film Precious. This was not shown in the movie but I ‘am assuming food and Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) benefits was supplied. Because of the abuse Precious endured by both Mary and her late husband, Ms. Weiss wanted to know all about this. Therefore, Ms. Weiss set up a session with Precious and Mary. This was a chance for Precious to have some closure and to hear why Mary treated her poorly and why her father Carl Johnston raped her. Although, what Ms. Weiss did for Precious is a milestone in progression.
