ISSUE:
Issue #1: Whether multiple individuals can sign one release and it still be considered enforceable?
Issue #2: Is it necessary/recommended for us to send a registration confirmation email for an event that does not require a waiver?
CONCLUSION:
Issue #1: Texas has not yet ruled upon the validity of a release signed by multiple individuals, but it appears that it is not advisable to administer a “group” liability release.
Issue #2: There is no legal requirement that a confirmation email be sent after a person registers for an event.
