After only dating a few weeks, Donna told the children that they had to start calling Frank, dad. Frank was nice at first but things changed when he did not get his way. The children had to see domestic violence first hand. They also had to see their mother cook for her new boyfriend as they starved. Days passed and Frank’s personality showed as he broke all of their personal belongings when he was mad. This madness was the gateway to his physical abuse toward Donna and the children. At the age of five, Lisa says that Frank became controlling. Donna was made to quit he job and food became scarcer than ever. All of their income went toward Frank’s alcohol. Frank also began his abuse toward Lisa by walking around naked and by making her bathe him. The living conditions in the house began to go from horrible to gruesome. Not only was the house nasty but the children lived with a dog that was allowed to pee and poop all over the floor. The children had to resort to wiping their butts with whatever was near since there was no tissue.
