They are made by using dry plants, animal skulls, clay, and wood. Mursi people get creative when making their headdress. They often use colorful items such as fruit, and flowers (Figure 4). They find items in their natural surroundings to use for their headdress. Headdress are worn during ceremonies, such as weddings and funerals. During funeral they will often place a headdress on the body depending on the ranking of the person who died. Each headdress is unique and different from each other.
