VASCULAR DEMENTIA

Introduction:

Dementia is one of the most devastating mental illnesses that affect older adults, accounting for a large proportion of new cases of mental illness in old age and causing significant distress to individuals and their families. There are numerous forms of dementia, and the two most common types of dementia are Alzheimer's disease and Vascular dementia. Vascular Dementia is the second most widespread type and affects about 20% of Dementia sufferers.

II. There are several things a person can do to maintain a sufficient lifestyle and manage the disease. Regular exercise is one of the most important things in managing the effects of ailment. By walking at least 20 minutes every day will help slow down the progression Vascular Dementia and help control weight. Eat a healthy and balanced diet and avoid foods with high cholesterol levels.
