Music Analytica is a company with the purpose of allowing music producers and recording labels to gain and keep a competitive edge in the music industry. Being able to process information and apply it in a way that can be used to make informed decisions is what allows a company to progress in their industry. This means that there needs to be a place that the data can be stored and organized in a way that it can be used for such activities. The primary keys that are the unique identifier for the entities in the other tables are also in the index. Although they are primary keys in their respective table, once they are used to reference their table in the index they become foreign keys. The keys themselves are made using an alpha numeric system. This was done with the intent to keep all the keys identifiable to their respective fields. For example, if one wanted to enter a new instance into the genre data table, the key, primary key that would be entered would be g-### depending on the amount of existing entries in the table. This concept is the same for the artist table and the index table. The slight difference is that the index table uses s-### in reference to the fact that is also categorized the songs as well. Also, one can use previously made queries to show any type of comparison that the need. As the tables are all related to one another and parameters for the DB have been applied, including referential integrity; if any of the data within the tables is changed or new data are added; the queries will changes based on the data. This is extremely important as it ensures congruence though out the DB; furthermore, is also ensuring that the reports being produces are as an accurate a possible and not miss leading as bad or incorrect data can lead to misinformed
