This class has sadly come to an end. And although, I am saddened that my days in this class are over. I am always going to carry a piece of this class with me. I learned so much In this class. From learning who controls what we hear. To creating a music video. It was fascinating and great to see people I see every day in other classes show me a side of them I wouldn’t see by looking at them. It makes me not judge a book by its cover because you never know what talents people can have. It amazes me to see how passionate people are for music. Not to mention the unique music we heard in class. I feel like this class gave us a new look as music as a whole. It can be used to fight back a dictating government to tricking the customer to purchase more goods at the store. It’s a tool that can be abused. Music is such a vital element in our lives. I always looked forward to coming to this class. I was able to actually learn about music. I mean how many people can say that? I also enjoyed Mr. Akindes coming to class and teach using more about felas music. I love how passionate he got when we he would break down the lyrics for us. In class we were also given the opportunity to share what we music makes us “us”. And I for one did not know we had such a diverse background. Who knew that we had so many people with so many different tastes. I was even able to relate to people and what music they heard growing up. And say hey I know that song. Or hey I watched that tv show to. I felt that although, we do not know each other personally. We were all able to express who we are in our discussions. Even in our small groups I would like to talk to Devon a lot because I found his perspective on music very interesting. I was able to make more friends in the comm department because of this class. And just making random conversations about this class to people in subway or at the
