`It was the last week of summer of 2013; I was at sitting in the driveway of one of my best friends, Kaleigh, with her and our friend, Ben. We were questioning how the summer could have gone by so fast? It seemed to fly by in no time! I was reminiscing about the past few weeks of summer, but still, I felt I hadn’t had a complete summer. I told Kaleigh and Ben I felt this way, so Ben brightly suggests, “Why don’t we walk to the High School right down the street?” Kaleigh, brought up that her parents didn’t give us permission to leave her street, but it’s a last summer adventure, what could go wrong?
We walked about two miles up to the school, just us three; Kaleigh, Ben, and I. Ben excitedly runs toward the football field as he sees that the whole premises was empty. Kaleigh and I walked at our own pace after him. We ended up sitting in the middle of the field. As we sat there, I look over at Ben and say, “What now?” he looked around and noticed the track team left out the hurdles. Ben excitedly jumped up and pointed towards the track where the hurdles were standing and says, “Let’s see how many we can jump over!”
Ben, being on the High Schools track team, jumps over all five hurdles without even breaking a sweat, then he says, “Try it!
