I ordered a burro grande (grand burrito), rice, and beans. My sister got arroz con camarones (rice with shrimp) . Amanda ordered a grilled chicken taco salad which came with sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. As we were waiting for our food, we were conversing in Spanish and catching up on each others lives. My sister tried her hardest to keep up with Amanda and I, because we were so much more advanced than her. I think she did a great job talking with us and the waiter for only being in Spanish 1. We noticed to artwork on the walls and started commenting on those. Some of the pictures were textured and almost three-dimensional. I liked how the artwork popped out because it made the art more realistic. There was also Spanish music playing at the restaurant. They played a song that Amanda and I had learned in Spanish class. The song is called “Me Voy”. It is about a girl leaving an unhappy relationship. She’s not happy to go, but her boyfriend doesn’t treat her right. It is sung by Julieta Venegas. Julieta is a very famous pop singer that speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese fluently. “Me Voy” was one of my favorite songs we learned in Spanish. Finally our food came, but I had eaten a lot of chips and salsa, so I wasn’t as hungry
