Blog #3 Tell me about the book you are reading for independant reading
The book i have been reading is called”My Guy Barbaro”. Which is on a racehorse that they believe could win all major races and win the triple crown. If they win all three of the races they get a trophy with 3 crown on it that symbolizes that they have won all 3 races. And the book is based on a horse that they believed could make it through it and he had won the kentucky derby and people everywhere had high hopes for him. The jockey was told not get attached to him or any other horse for that fact that something could happen to the horse. Until one day They were getting ready to race and the race is called the”Preakness Stakes if you win this race you go to the belmont and they got barbaro in the gate and all the other horses in and barbaro had lunged forward and broke the barrier of the gates and started running down the…show more content… They got him in and let all the horses go and barbaro broke at a steady pace they went around the 1st turn just fine and the 2nd one just fine untime there almost home and barbaro is like 3rd in the pack of the horses and almost pulling up to the 1st mark and The jockey felt something wrong and when they feel something wrong they will pull the horse up and stop but the thing is that if they do that and nothing seams wrong with the horse they lost thousands of dollars in the race and the horses title. But when he pulled barbaro up he was only running on 3 legs his back he was favoring his back left leg. The jockey got off and track employs came to help the jockey stablize the horse from trying to take off and got him calmed down and when a horse is hurt
