My Legacy

What is Legacy? A legacy is a thing handed down by a predecessor. What is your Legacy? If I had to choose some things as my legacy I would start with my brothers and what a big impact they have had on me and I have had on them and then I would conclude with joining the U.S. Navy. “ Live your dash”
Being the oldest of three has made me realize that I am the role model, I am the example my brothers look up to. They have taught me that I need to be the bigger person to teach them. I try to show them every day that doing what's right will always get them farther in life than doing something that's wrong. I try to show them the importance in school, friendships, and family that all are equally important and all should have its own time. I have showed them that it's better to come out of your shell and explore new things because this is their only life and the deserve to live it happily and eventfully. Navy is my way of giving back to our community, to our state, to our country. Showing Honor, Courage, and Commitment working day by day to make myself into a better person so I can properly perform the duties I am expected to do. When I leave in August I will be going to bootcamp with a strong and open mind to learn all new things. I want to do the best for my country and I want to be the best for my country. When I become a U.S. sailor I hope I can be a role model and a friend to others, inspiring others to stand up and stand their ground for what right, to live their own life to “live their dash”. I hope I become an even larger role model for my two younger brothers inspiring them with all their everyday activities. Joining the U.S. Navy has given me a whole new perspective in life and has taught me something new every day I hope to live up to the greatest but in my own uniqueness. My legacy is to do whats right, to set standards, to help, and to show people it's important to “live your
