Roy Rogers once stated, “The true beauty of music is that it connects people. It carries a message, and we, the musicians, are the messengers.” This quote perfectly embodies my feelings towards music. Musical experiences have shaped me into who I am today. In particular, my musical experience at the PMEA district choir festival holds a special place in my life. PMEA, Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, brings children from schools across Pennsylvania together to make stunning music and compete to move on to higher festivals.
