Starting from 5th grade in middle school, I was introduced to volleyball by my favorite gym teacher, Mrs. B. As soon as I touched the ball, I knew that I would love to play this all the time. As 6th grade came the competition got better because we played over the summer at our friends house every day. It got so serious that the gym teachers let us play for longer before we had to move onto a different sport but then we came right back to volleyball. Then we asked if we could set up a tournament, which was a bad idea because after that we never stopped. We started to make teams but all I wanted was one person to be on my team and that was my friend Cj. Cj would set me the ball and I would spike it on the other team scoring us points. One team was made up of all boys that were athletic and could actually hit the ball back unlike most of my team which was made up of more girls than boys. The girls wouldn't even try and touch the ball, they would just move out of the way and let the other team score the point. But that didn't matter; we also had someone else on my team that could serve just like me, overhand. He went back to back to back, scoring 13 points to make it a tie. Cj kept setting me up and eventually we won the game. I was marked as the best because my team, predicted to be the worst, won the entire tournament. 7th grade comes and the competition becomes greater than what it used
