My Self Assessment: Pseudo Listening

After completing the Know Thy Self assessment, I have discovered that I have some gaps in my listening skills. My biggest problem area is with pseudo listening. I do this in a class lecture sometimes whenever I find the lecture boring or if I feel like what the professor is saying does not relate to the topic. I noticed that I also have selective listening sometimes. I have selective listening whenever someone is speaking about drama or gossip. I do not care to be involved in that kind of conversation so I just choose not to listen to them. I feel like the most serious problem is pseudo listening.
