Proposed projects for upcoming fiscal year consideration:
Recreation and Wellness Intranet Project:
The project will aligns with the current strategic plan to reduce internal costs.
Current research has shown the MYH, Inc. pay 20 percent more than the industry average for employee healthcare premiums, primarily due to a poor health of its employees.
Potential benefits of the project would enable the company to negotiate lower health insurance premiums, providing net savings of at least $30 per full time employee. MYH currently employees 20,000 full-time personal, this would calculate to a $600,000 per year saving in insurance premiums and over the next four year a savings of $2.4 million less cost.
Healthy, happy employee makes for a much better work environment. This factor would contribute to other benefits that would consist of improve employee health, greater productivity, higher morale, community involvement with excellent public relations.
The initial assessment rating would be of high value to the company, after persuading employees to join activities, upfront costs and using existing Intranet system.
Health Coverage Costs Business Model:

Currently, MYH, Inc., healthcare premiums continue to increase; the company has changed insurance carriers several times in the past 10 years. With each change, the company has allocated resources for research. This application would track employee healthcare expenses and company healthcare cost.
Potential benefits of the project would assist in negotiating low premiums with insurance companies. With an estimated saving of $20 per full time employee. This would calculate to $400,000 per year saving in insurance premiums and over the next four years a savings of $1.6 million less cost.
The ability to track employee and company costs and expense for healthcare would give the company adequate information to reduce insurance costs.
The initial assessment rating would of high value to the company, with an upfront fee of $100,000 to develop. The application must be secure and run on current intranet for managers, analysts to download, and analysis data. New application to import data from current systems that track employee expenses submitted to the company and company’s costs to the insurance provider.
