1. N-pentane’s only has an intermolecular force of London Dispersion Forces whereas 1-butanol has intermolecular forces of both London Dispersion Forces and Hydrogen Bonding. So although n-pentane and 1-butanol have almost the same molecular weight what makes the difference in temperature is the fact that 1-butanol has Hydrogen Bonding. Since 1-butanol has Hydrogen Bonding that means there is are stronger attractions in the molecule so there is a slower rate of evaporation.
