I participated in the Research Rookie Program at NIU during my freshman year to study the effect of visual stimulations in virtual reality environments. Moreover, during the summer of 2016, I was selected for the Amgen Scholars Research Program at the University of Tokyo in Japan to do research on the measurement, analysis, and modeling of body motion. For me, it was a great advantage to get involved in such multi-disciplinary research projects. Such practical training allowed me to apply the classroom knowledge to practical use, expand my understanding, and strengthen my passion.
