In the article, “Revision Strategies of Student and Experienced Adult Writers” author Nance Sommers touched the issue of students revising their product is really different from adult experienced writers. In the process of revision, the writer is forced to correct previous thought. This strategy requires specific thought of one’s own text. Revision has the greatest influence in communicating effective language on paper. The purpose for this strategy is for the writer to repeatedly challenge his/her previous thought, with intentions to improve and eventually develop those ideas into a well-constructed piece.
