On 05/07/2018 at about 0100 hours, Officer Delara (P#2417) and I were dispatched to 2207 Rustler Ridge Avenue in reference to an unknown situation.
Upon our arrival, we were met by three Hispanic males identified as Santos Becerra, Omar Becerra Jose Gonzalez and one Hispanic female identified as Maria Becerra. Santos had blood coming from his left hand and his clothing was covered in his blood. Maria had a blood smear on her left cheek. Officer Delara and I separated Santos and Maria and had Jose and Omar sit on the curb while we spoke to Santos and Maria.
Santos stated that he was "hanging out" with Omar and Jose and had been drinking. Santos then told me he and Maria had an argument because Maria took his phone and would not give it back to him. Santos stated that he and Maria had been married for five years and had a three year old daughter (Sophia Becerra) together. Santos stated that he and Jose(Santos cousin and Maria's nephew) and Omar (Santos brother) were in his backyard drinking when Maria came and took a phone that Santos was using away from him. Santos stated that the phone belonged…show more content… Jose went on to say that Maria initiated the "fight" when she "snatched" the phone out of Santos' hand. Jose then stated that he did not see when Maria bit, but did state that Santos did exit the master bedroom and told him Maria had just bitten him. Jose went on to say he did hear Mari arguing about the key's to the truck and that Maria kept telling Santos to just get out. Jose then said he tried to defuse the situation and offered to take Santos away from the home for the night and told Maria and Santos to think about Sophia who was asleep in her bedroom. Jose then stated that Maria and Santos calmed down and as he and Santos and Omar were about to leave we arrived on scene. Omar corroborated Jose's statements and both declined to complete a voluntary
