The Becoming L.A. exhibit in the Natural History Museum represents the foundation and the building of the city of Los Angeles. L.A. is a major part of American history as it is one of the most populated cities in the United States. The exhibit highlights the individuals who founded Los Angeles, how they shaped the city and how their influence affected the city overtime. It also provides essential information about the kind of role Los Angeles played throughout major worldwide events such as the World War or the Spanish War. The exhibit as a whole signifies the Angelino civilization, culture, human development, and its relationship with one another. The primary theme of this exhibit was to showcase the important foundations of the city and how each these decisions and events have made Los Angeles what it is today. The exhibit itself conveys information specifically about how each event made an impact on the people living in Los Angeles at the time. It demonstrates the hardships and discrimination of the immigrants coming to this city, the violent relationship between the United States and Mexico due to the U.S. Manifest Destiny idea, and the Californian involvement in World War II. Because it dates all the way back to 1542 which is also the subject of the very first room, it was very spacious with one display case of artifacts. As you go deeper into the history, the less information and evidence you are given which is why there is such little information in the first few rooms. However, as you go through the exhibit, the rooms become more full with displays, paintings, data, and information. I believe that the fuller the room was, the more impact the city of Los Angeles had on American history as a
