Humans belong to the specie of Homo sapiens. Even if humans belong to a single specie, not all humans have the same skin color or hair type. Racial variation takes place for humans all over the world. Perhaps Darwin`s theory of evolution explains it all. Darwin created a theory based on the process of how humans evolve. Perhaps the environment has a lot to do with the evolutionary process just as Darwin has proposed. Charles Darwin introduced a theory on how humans could have evolved by natural selection, mutation and descent with modification. Charles Darwin promoted the term natural selection. Natural selection is another way of saying that biological traits slowly start to weaken. It could also mean that biological traits become more frequent. It all depends on how the organisms interact with their habitat. Some biological traits can be more useful than others depending on the environment and the need to survive. Random mutation can also take place due to changes in an organism’s habitat. This random mutations can be passed down to the next generation. Now we can begin to understand why differences take place in humans. The organism’s genome interacts with their habitat and causes differences to take place. An organism genomes …show more content…
There are many alterations in the DNA that human’s experience. One mutation in humans is a disorder called Progeria. Progeria is a disease that causes advanced aging. According to Mayo Clinic which is a foundation for medical education and research, Progeria is a “progressive genetic disorder.” At the age of 13, many of the people suffering from Progeria die of a stroke or heart problems. Many can live up to twenty years old or a little bit older. When people think of heart problems, they most likely think that it is likely to happen at a much older age than the teenage years. Mutation however, has caused some people to suffer heart problems that would most likely had occurred at a much later
