My little brother came along and he had some issues which had him being taken to the hospital. Since then I knew I wanted to become a nurse. Currently, working as a nurse assistant in a private homecare with the elderly but not always has taught me a lot. For example, I learned to definitely have patience especially dealing with clients who have dementia and Alzheimer’s. Also to never take anything the client says personally, which to me is difficult because I tend to do that. I’ve only had a year of experience so I have plenty of time to practice.
To attain the basic nursing education, you can undergo three routes. For example, you are able to obtain an associate degree in two or three years at a junior or community college. As a Nurse manger, you are the leader to the staff of the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). Ensuring the environment is well taken care of and the resources are available for those in need. Clinical nurse specialists are an expert in diagnosing and treating illness in the area of their expertise. Developmental care specialists are those who studied the development of sick and preterm infants. A Neonatal nurse practitioner are those who work with the physicians and other staff to provide highly technical care to the infants in the NICU.
