The movie Nerve depicts a game in which players live stream crowdsourced dares to subscribed watchers to earn money and fame. The game operates on the dark web and is shared via a special link. Once someone decides to play, he or she is presented with the choice of becoming a player or a watcher, that is, someone who does what the watchers want or someone who pays to watch his or her idea be performed. Nerve follows the story of high school senior Vee Delmonico as she finds herself transformed from art school applicant to internet superstar in one night by joining the game.
